Laboratoire de PhysicoChimie des Processus de Combustion et de l'Atmosphère

Joint Research Unit UMR 8522 CNRS – University of Lille

Its main activities pertain to Physical Chemistry and Engineering Sciences. The covered topics are connected with energetics, environment and nuclear safety. Emphasis is placed upon physical chemistry investigations of fundamental processes as well as on specific applications by using both experimental and modelling approaches. Applied studies are devoted to flame analysis, combustion in engines, aeronautic, clean processes, nuclear safety, pollutant transformation and metrology as well as modelling of air pollution and their impact on climate and health. The laboratory project is tightened around 3 research teams: (RT1) Physical Chemistry of Combustion, (RT2) Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Reactivity of Atmosphere, (RT3) Associated laboratory CNRS/IRSN/Lille1 C3R ( in Nuclear Safety.

Specific expertise under the Labex project :
Physical-chemistry of Combustion
Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Reactivity of Atmosphere
