Science Festival 2017
The Sciences festival « fête de la science » is a national event that aims to bring sciences to people at large : actual citizens and future citizens (pupils). It was held from 7th to 15th october 2017. We warmly thank all participants to the Science Festival 2017 .

This year, Nicolas Visez (PC2A), Vincent Bêche (CPER Climibio) et Anne Burlet-Parendel (Labex CaPPA) presented for the first time a scientific board game specially created for the event. Title : « The dangerous odyssey of a grain of pollen ».

The game has been presented in the cultural center « Gare Saint-Sauveur » and at the science museum « Forum des Sciences ». Feed back were promising. To win, players need strategy, memorizing and rapidity. This is a perfect tool to talk about atmospheric pollution and the diversity of sources, and to raise awareness among pollution effects on pollens, health issues and environment. Thanks to all scientists who animated the game during 2 week-ends: Nicolas Visez, Marion Blocquet, Laure Pillier, Ansatasia Ivanovsky, Elise Potier, Alexandre Deguine, Christophe Hecquet, Valérie Nollet, Marie Choël, Coralie Schoemaecker et Vincent Bêche.
The photo exhibition « Poussières d’atmosphère » was presented at the cultural center « Gare Saint-Sauveur » for 4 days. The exhibition follows scientists in Senegal during the measurement campaign SHADOW. A good introduction into the journey of particles in the atmosphere, especially in Africa, and the international environment of scientists.
LPCA laboratory animated a scientific activity called « Journey of an aerosol in the atmosphere » for 5 days at the museum center in Dunkirk : « Palais de l’Univers et des Sciences ».
